4 week courses

how to start

Experience: anybody. there are no prerequisities for this course.


if you're new to pole, or you’ve had a long break, every month we run a 4 week Intro to Pole course, which is the perfect place for you to begin your pole & confidence journey! We at Pivot Pole Studio we believe that strong foundations are the very essence of a great pole dancer and athlete! reclaim (or discover!) your confidence, improve strength, posture, flexibility, grace, and coordination. within this course you will learn all important elements that all other pole spins, poses and tricks are built upon. learn how to move around the pole with precision and control with a range of graceful spins, fluid transitions, fun floorwork and strengthening exercises.  pole is for everyBODY so there are no prerequisites or strength/ flexibility requirements for you to join (just the willingness to give everything a go!).  when your course is complete, you can join us for Intro Progression classes, which are PAYG.

the important bit 

the course is £48 for 4 weeks and all payments are wholly non-refundable. attend the same day & time each week for 4 weeks. we recommend you can attend as many of the 4 weeks as possible as there are no make up classes available if you miss a session. course dates announced in our monthly newsletter first. check dates, availability and book via our TeamUp booking system here & courses bookable a month in advance.

waiting list

we currently do not have a waitlist feature for our courses, but if you're looking to be notified for cancellations in any upcoming fully booked courses, just drop us an email! our taster sessions have a waitlist so simply follow the link above & if it's full, add yourself to the waitlist!


all payments are wholly non-refundable, however if you give us 72 or more hours notice, we can apply your course fee as account credit to use on a future course. cancellations with less than 72 hours notice are non-transferable unless your space sells.

handy tips

wear form fitting clothes that allow you to move. keeping grip points like the backs of the knees, shins, and armpits bare will help for gripping, but comfort is key so we won't push you to wear anything that makes you uncomfortable.

no jewellery is permitted in class, which includes rings, watches & bracelets. stud earrings, belly bars & other piercings are fine.

do not apply hand or body lotions, moisturisers, oils or fake tans for at least 24 hours before class as it makes the poles & you slippy.

bring water, a towel to wipe your pole, a notepad & a fully charged phone to track your progress!

what to expect

whilst we already know how nervous you may be feeling, taking the leap & booking is the hardest step! we make it out absolute mission to ensure our space feels as warm, welcoming & inclusive of everyBODY that walks through the doors. 

so if you're worrying about your age, shape, size, weight, fitness level, gender presentation, hairy legs; let us tell you, that does not & will not ever matter at PPS. you are welcome & awesome just as you are, and we can't wait to help you see that!

door policy

we are located in a secure building which is locked to the public. your instructor will come let you in 5 minutes before your session is due to start from the main doors on Anderson Place.  if you are late, you will miss your class as we do not have a buzzer or a phone, nor can we check emails & social media during teaching hours. be sure to be on time! 

after your course

Intro to Pole is our only course on offer. the rest of our classes are PAYG. once your course is finished you can join us for Intro Progression which are PAYG classes we run several times a week. attend as many days & times as you like! you can also join us for our Flexibility Flow, Pole Conditioning, Pole Practice, SXY Heels Flow, SXY Floor Flow & any workshops marked as beginner friendly / all levels.
