Terms & Conditions
Please read very carefully. By signing up as a Member of PPS and booking classes/ courses/ sessions, it is assumed you have read and agreed to these conditions. Please also refer to our new COVID-19 Policy & Procedures, Studio Etiquette and Private Policy for more information as these both form part of our Terms & Conditions. PPS reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time [last updated: 16/11/2021].
By signing up to classes and/or becoming a Member of Pivot Pole Studio (PPS), it is assumed you (The Member/ Participant) have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. You will not be permitted to participate in classes without doing so. If you find yourself unable to agree with the below terms and conditions, we recommend you do not book into our classes. Pivot Pole Studio reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions at any time and you will be notified of this via your TeamUp account.

Booking & Memberships
​
â–¸ Pivot Pole Studio reserves the right to refuse participation in classes/ workshops/ events if deemed necessary and have final say in which classes/ sessions are best suited for individual ability.
â–¸ All Members/Participants in activities at Pivot Pole Studio are required to complete a PAR-Q and informed consent form prior to joining on our Team Up system. This needs to be filled in completely and to the best of your knowledge. If any information changes during your time at Pivot Pole Studio you will be required to make us aware.
▸ All classes/ sessions / courses must be booked via our Team Up booking system on our website. No drop-ins are permitted. We do not accept card, PayPal, or cash in the studio. ​
â–¸ All classes are available to book on a first come, first serve basis.
▸ New Members, who may have attended classes elsewhere, are encouraged to get in touch with us (info@pivotpolestudio.co.uk) to assess which classes will be most suitable. You can also check out Class Page​ for more information.
â–¸ Members may attend any class within or below their current ability level, throughout the week. Members must not attend a class which is higher than their current ability level unless invited by their Instructor.
â–¸ We advise using the Waitlist feature on our system if you cannot book into your desired class. You can sign up to text notifications here.
▸ Class Pack credits (when available) are solely for the Membership holder only and cannot be used or transferred to anyone else.​​
▸ Class/ Open Practice Packs are valid from the date of your first class registration. It is your responsibility to note your Class Pack's start and expiration date.​​
â–¸ Class/ Open Studio Pack start/ expiration dates are final. No exceptions.
â–¸ All classes/ courses/ workshop are wholly non-refundable. No exceptions. By booking it is assumed you have read the Terms & Conditions and class/ course/ workshop descriptions prior to booking.
â–¸ If booking multiple classes please make a note of what you have booked. You can also check these via your Team Up account.
â–¸ Pivot Pole Studio reserves the right to periodically increasing prices. Price changes will be announced in advance on the website, Facebook and/or by email.
Lateness/ Cancellation
▸ If you cannot attend your booked class, please ensure you have removed yourself from the class on the booking page to open the space up to another Member/Participant on the wait list. ​​
â–¸ Due to building’s security system, Members/ Participants are asked to arrive at the studio 5-10 minutes prior to their class starting. Any Member/ Participant who is late to class will not be permitted into the building and there may not be anyone available to let you in (i.e. if your class is due to start at 6pm, please ensure you are at the studio by 5:50/ 5:55pm). There will be no refunds or transferred credits if you miss doors opening; we cannot run down to let you in, or answer calls/ text/ private messages on our phones once class has began. Our door policy is clear. No exceptions.
â–¸ There is a 24-hour transfer policy for all Members if you cannot make your booked class. If cancelling more than 24 hours before the class, a credit will be reapplied to your account (original class pack if being paid for with a class pack credit). If cancelling within 24 hours of the class, your booking will be lost, and you will not be able to transfer this to another date within that term.

​▸ We have a three strike policy on no shows. If you fail to cancel your class, any remaining future classes you have booked will be automatically cancelled (credits will be returned to your account) and you will have a period of being unable to book future classes.​​
▸ Please make note of the validity of your chosen Class Pack. PPS will not extend your Class Pack expiration date if you miss it. Class credits cannot be transferred to past their stated validity. No exceptions.​
â–¸ In the event of cancellation by PPS, you will be made aware as soon as possible via the Facebook Member page, email and contacted individually. A credit will be returned to your account (with it’s original Class Pack expiration date).​
If cancelling a Guest Instructor workshop, these are wholly non-refundable but you can transfer your space to someone else. This is your responsibility to do so and make PPS aware who is taking your space. In the event of PPS cancelling a Guest Instructor workshop, either an alternative date or full refund will be offered.
Personal Data

▸ All Members/Participants in activities at Pivot Pole Studio are required to complete a PAR-Q and informed consent form prior to joining. ​​Marketing
​
â–¸ Members will be invited to opt in to receiving our newsletter where we will occasionally send out information on upcoming classes, workshops, and discounts. If you opt to sign up, then change your mind you can unsubscribe at any point. This is optional, and we are fully compliant with GDPR regulations.

Liability
​
â–¸ Participation in classes, courses, workshops, camps and events at Pivot Pole Studio is fully at the Member/ Participant’s own risk. By agreeing with the Terms and Conditions, the Participant declares he/she/they are aware and accept the risks. Pivot Pole Studio is not liable for any injuries, damages or losses due to participation in any classes, courses, workshops, camps or events.

â–¸ All losses or damages to Pivot Pole Studio and/or the location holder, caused by the Member/ Participant will be the responsibility (including and financial recuperation) of the Member/ Participant.

​Private Parties
​
â–¸ There is a minimum number of 6 guests per party. Any groups less than 6 people will be required to pay the difference.
â–¸ We currently have a maximum of 10 people per private party.
â–¸ A non-refundable deposit 50% of the total booking is required upon booking to secure your space.
â–¸ The final balance is due 14 days prior to your party. This is wholly non-refundable if cancelling within 14 days of the event.
â–¸ Your date cannot be transferred within 14 days of your event. We may be able to accommodate a date change prior to 14 days of your event, which is subject to availability.
â–¸ Group Members are not permitted to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs prior or during your private session. PPS reserves the right to refuse entry based on this with no refund.
â–¸ If guests are late for their session, your time will not be made up and will be lost.

​Studio Etiquette
​

â–¸ Pivot Pole Studio accepts no responsibility for injury or discomfort due to lack of/ improper warm up and/or cool down during your own training. Members are encouraged to make use of any of the equipment available in the studio during this session (including mats, yoga blocks and wheels, wall bars etc.). There are also knee pads available to purchase in the studio.
Pregnancy / Post Natal

â–¸Unfortunately, we are not able to teach anyone who is pregnant for insurance reasons. We ask that students be open and honest about pregnancy as soon as they find out for the safety of yourself and your baby. You are not recommended to start Pole Dance if you are pregnant.
​​▸ ​ You must be signed off by your doctor as fit to exercise, 6 weeks post natural birth, 10 weeks post c-section, before you can participate.
Agreement
​​
I confirm I am aged 16 or above.
​I understand that PPS will always work with my best interest in mind.
​I agree to inform PPS of any injury or circumstances which may put myself or others at risk, while attending/participating in lessons.
​I will always be respectful and supportive to your instructor and other students. PPS has ZERO TOLERANCE of inappropriate / abusive behaviour of any kind and you will be asked to leave with no refund.
​Students are requested to abide by the Studio Etiquette
​PPS will not be held responsible for any damage or loss to student’s property. All students are advised to bring belongings at their own risk.

I understand that pole dancing / fitness is a potentially dangerous sport. I agree to practice safely within the boundaries of my own capabilities as advised by my instructor. Involvement in Pole dancing / fitness and related activities carries a significant risk of damage to property, personal injury or death. Participation is at your own risk. I understand that participation in this sport has potential dangers and that I take full and sole responsibility for my actions and safety.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions shall affect your statutory rights.
